Today we mostly relaxed and read. My mom and I Got massages and facials, and then in the evening, we saw the ‘Jump Jive, and Wail’ show with 1920’s music and dance.
We had a nice sit down dinner, and then my parents retire for the evening am Gary and I saw 2 comedians, one of which was Marc Theobald again (different show) and then bed time for us.

Tonights towel animal was an ephalent
Our clocks changed last night to an hour ahead, so I set my watch back when I woke up around 8:00am (7:00am). Gary and I went to the sit-down breakfast around 9:00 and then started our day of at sea events.
My mom was feeling a bit dizzy in the morning, so I got her some motion sick medicine from one of the on board shops and dropped it off. Gary and I hung out a bit. Later, my dad was having some motion sick issues so he rested in the room while my mom came out with us.
We went to the top level 10, but couldn’t go to 11 due to the high winds. We sat on the deck chairs fora bit and then had some lunch.
My mom went to check in on my dad and see how he was doing. He was doing a little better so we went to sit with him when he had lunch and then he went back to his room for some more rest. My mom, Gary and I went to listen to some jazz music in the lobby which was relaxing. I think I fell asleep for a bit.
Mom went back to check in on my dad who was doing better so we all went to tea, where we had tea, little tea sandwiches, and cakes. On the way back to the rooms, we got my dad some apple streusel from the corner cafe which he really enjoyed and went back to our rooms to relax and rest before dinner.
My mom still wasn’t feeling up to walking around, and the boat still was pretty rocky. Even I was feeling sick. My parents ordered room service in for dinner so Gary and I went to meet the captain and crew and make it to the the sit down dinner where we had shrimp and lobster tail.
I checked in on my parents and they were in for the night, so Gary and I saw the ‘New Orleans’ show.
Right after, we went to see the comedian Marc Theobald. We sat outside on the Ledo deck watching the end of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4’ for a bit until it started sprinkling/raining and then hung out til bed time.
Every night we got a towel animal made by the room steward. Tonight was a dog, and he used my sunglasses for a finishing touch 🙂
We had breakfast at the hotel, and left the hotel around 10:30am.
A taxi van picked us up from the hotel and we arrived at the cruise ship around 11:00am. Checked in and got on the ship around noon. The rooms weren’t ready until 1:30, so we had lunch on the lido (deck 9) and checked out the rest of the ship.

We showed my parents to their room around 1:30 and Gary did some work in ours while we were still at port. Both sets of rooms have a balcony, which Gary and I did not have on our last Cruise. We did have a window last time which is good so you know what time of day it is. ^^

The mandatory safety briefing was at 3:30pm where we had to go tour assigned muster station where they tell you what to do on case of an emergency and what life boat you would be getting on to.
The ship left around 5pm and we all sat on the upper deck 11 to watch as we took off. We saw some of the other cruise ships leave, some cargo ships leave with tug boats assisting, and the police boats and coast guard boats with armed machine guns on the front.
Afterwards, we went to level 5 to get some sushi and hang out. Around 6:00pm we went back to the rooms to unpack our luggage that was dropped off and hang out until we met my parents around 8:00pm to go to the late seating dinner.
After dinner, we dropped my parents off at their room. Gary and I went back to our room to change and then went to pick up some facial cleanser on deck 5 where the shops were for me since I didn’t have what I needed.
We saw a bit of the ‘Welcome Aboard Show’ in the theater since it was right next to the shop we were coming out of, and afterwards we sat down for a bit to hear one of the musical entertainers in the lobby play.
We then went to our room to read, hang out on the balcony, and go to bed for the evening.
We went on an 8 day cruise to the Caribbean. Our 3rd cruise total, our 2nd with Carnival.
The first was to places in the Western Caribbean on the Carnival Valor, this one was to the Eastern on the Carnival Freedom.
I love the service on the cruises, your room gets cleaned in the morning, and then they clean your room and have a turn down service in the evening when you go to dinner which includes towel animals! Everyone is so friendly, and the food is so great, especially the sit down dinners, and there is no limit. If you don’t like something, you can send it back and get something else. The entertainment is fun and the shows are professional, there is always something to do (or not do).

Today we started our vacation! We are going on a cruise to the Caribbean. We started the trip in Ft. Lauderdale Florida around 1:30/2pm and had lunch at the TGIF Fridays which was a few minutes walking distance from the hotel.
Afterwards, we went back to the hotel and took a nap since we went to bed late the night before and got up early in the morning to pack.

After the nap around 7pm, we went to my parents room which was a few doors down from ours and watched all of ‘Despicable Me’ which had just started when we turned the TV on, and my mom and I played an iPad game.
After the movie, we went back to TGI Fridays for dinner and then went back to the hotel for bed time. We saw this funny gas station sign on the wall.
We leave for our cruise tomorrow!

When Gary and I went to his parents house for Thanksgiving, we also celebrated my Birthday (early). It’s fun celebrating more days than one, and the gifts early are fun too. I got mascara, a really cute wallet, and we went out to lunch and I got Mickey ravioli 🙂

Gary and I celebrated Thanksgiving with his parents today.
His mom and I decorated the tree and went shopping. He and his dad watched some football.
We also celebrated my birthday (early) today with them which included birthday presents and treated to dinner.
Now we have another 2 days to relax and get things done around the house. How awesome is that? ^^

Gary and I celebrated at my parents’ yesterday and are celebrating with his parents today. We had yummy food (which I could go for some more right now -haha) and some friends came over as well which was really nice.
Yesterday, I go to see the model boat my dad has been working on for me, and it’s on it’s way to being complete! He had a few setbacks with medication and some/most of the parts had to be made from scratch. It’s looking really great, and after the rigging is complete, I think the case is the last thing 🙂
The trees today are all faded and yellow, and not as pretty as they were last week, but the weather was so lovely. Warm, not too cold . . . just right ^^
