Check out these purses, made from “recycling” record covers, book covers, and even board games. Each bag is unique and you can send them materials and have a custom bag made. They have don’t show all the bags they have on their website (like the record cover purses which are larger), but it’s neat. Check it out at http://bagitude.net
Check out my New Map called ‘our travels’ on the Right hand side under the visitors map.
Here I will be adding the address of hotels, restaurants, places we have been to (for Vacation or Fun).
I’ll add a * to places we would recommend going to or places we would love to go back to especially and I’ll add pictures and web addresses if available to some of the locations too 🙂
* To see the map larger, click on “See BigMap, Add Comments”
Click on the Diamond to see all the Information on that place and you can Zoom in close by using the + button
I’ll be adding places as I think of them or as we travel to them . . . I’m looking forward to future travels!
I met Tom (and Sarah came by briefly) to shoot downtown. We met at the NC State Belltower and then walked around campus. Not finding much we wanted to shoot at night . . .we headed to the Flying Saucer instead 😀
I won’t be getting one since Canon’s MarkII is about $8,000, but there was a lot of speculation and rumours as to what new body would be coming out . . .

Monday morning after the funeral, we got a cuban breakfast with cuban coffee before hitting the road around 12:30pm. Finally got in at 2am, went to bed around 2:30am though I couldn’t fall asleep right away. The alarm was set for 6:45am but I hit the snooze button a few times and finally got myself out of bed around 7:15am.
I can’t wait to go to bed early tonight.
So when we arrived in Florida at our destination, it was around 10:30am. We got to my friend’s sisters place and then went out for some food, real cuban food which was really good, and they should know -they’re cuban. I went to the Coconut Grove Arts Festival while my friend went to see her family and go to the Wake.
This was a hotel on my walk to the festival:
a lot of different kinds of artists out
This was pretty cool. One artist makes sculptures of people that are extremely life-like, but not made of wax. They looked like those “live-models”, people that stand in store windows pretending to be manequins. These manequins were pretending to be alive -haha It was very cool . . . you could even see the pores of the skin, and the eyes were very life-like.
I love how there were people selling beer and mixed drinks as well as other usual foods . . . you won’t find that at the local Lazy Daze
This is my fave 😀

we leave tomorrow after the funera . . . I was hoping to stop my Miami Ink (Gary and I really like the show), but I’m not sure if we will have time . . .
So my friends grandfather died last thursday and she called me on friday to tell me her news. Plane tickets are rediculously expensive for last minute flights out, and she wanted to go to the funeral which is on Sunday and she can’t drive the whole way down by herself since it’s a 12 hour straight drive down. So I said if you can’t find a cheap flight (and I looked for flights as well) I said I would drive down with her. So we left Saturday evening around 10:30pm.
Worked out well since Gary got back in from Denver on Friday and we had all day Saturday (minus a few hours with my friend at the rose garden) and she had to finish up some things in town before we left. Plus Gary was leaving for Denver again early the next morning anyway.
Gary and I had dinner at Kanki and walked around the mall a bit, then we went to Advance Auto Parts (or maybe it was Auto Zone?) got new windshield wipers, and the drivers side light replaced. Oh and a new car scent dangly . . . a strawberry since they were out of dolphins 🙂 then my friend picked me up and we were on the road.
In the morning when I packed, and the cats kept on getting into or on my luggage, which was very cute:
Saturday, I met my friend Beth at the Rose Garden to catch up, and talk about her upcoming wedding!
Everything was pretty much cut back and powdered white (I am assuming to protect against environmental damage? and possibly bugs 🙂 I thought there was a wintery snow feeling, but that could have been because it was fricken windy and cold out 😛
But then we went to a local coffee shop on hillsborough street to warm up . . . raspberry mocha . . . yummy!
