the polaroids:

My mom sent this link to me and I remember seeing it when I was a kid
Well, I was going to go shooting today, but didn’t since my friends’ car broke down 😦 – so I have changed the portfolio sections on my website (www.sue-leigh.com)
I hope to get a new, updated website sometime next year, so keep checking out my blog and website for new photos and updates as they come!
For our anniversary, Gary’s parents gave us a metal Chimenea and it is now assembled! It’s living on our front porch since it’s small and very very hot out. I put a flower in it for an added touch:

I’m working on a project and had a shoot this past weekend with Mark, so here is a Sneak Peak! more details later . . .

Surfing on the internet and I found my name from a few years ago when did the lighting for a Raleigh Little Theater production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

More surfing . . . you may remember when I blogged about our photo on the website of the minister that married us [see the post] I came across his website (www.joinedtogetherweddings.com) which has been updated and I love the new lay out. I also love that he still used a photo from our wedding. One on the main page and also the header for his website 🙂
I freakin’ loved our wedding!
Gary and I met up with our friends last night and my friend Adrienne and I finally exchanged Christmas presents (2006) haha, anyway she got me the coolest most thoughtful gift! A polaroid camera! I love it!
Here are a few of the photos I took from last night:

haha, the guys are funny

and Adrienne took this one of us
Thursday to Sunday Gary was in New York for two Baseball games with his dad and his granddad. Gary’s mom and I left for the mountains on Saturday and Gary and his dad met us in the mountains on Sunday evening. Here is a shot Gary sent me from his camera phone from yankee stadium.
Saturday we drove around and found an art festival to walk around, and we went to a Mast General Store. We pulled over to look at our directions and there were some abandoned buildings that I liked.
and then we went to dinner but had a 30 minute wait

Sunday we went to the Biltmore Estate which was fun, followed by the winery which wasn’t that impressive, and then we saw a little petting zoo which was near the winery.

I love the details in everything

the greenhouse was behind the Biltmore house and had a large variety of plants

The gardens were lovely and very well kept. The flowers were gorgeous and all in bloom.
Evidently you aren’t allowed to take photos inside the house, but I didn’t see a sign and until someone said something I got a few shots of the inside 🙂

the dining hall
Monday we all went to Linville Caverns which was interesting and there was a 30 minute tour
afterwards we went to lunch and sat outside. It started raining and then hailing! Pea sized hail and a lot of rain which lasted about 20 to 30 minutes. Then the sun came out and it was fine the rest of the day.
Sunday we went window shopping, had dinner and Gary and I headed home. A fun trip and very relaxing. Back to work for both of us tomorrow!
This is a great month for me! I’ve had so much going on and so much coming up!
I will be shooting products for a company that currently sells their products in home improvement stores (Lowe’s, Home Depot, Ace Hardware) and they are changing and updating their advertising and planning on using my photos in their advertising brochures, marketing materials, website, and their in-store displays! So I might be taking a few trips to Lowe’s if that’s the case 😀
In the next couple of weeks I should have some of my work published in an online industry magazine which I just shot today . . .
and we have a new addition for the house which is a Surprise that Gary doesn’t know about yet!
So I can’t tell you what it is. And no commenting about it if I have already told you about it!
I’ll be taking a trip to the mountains soon, and we have plans to visit the Biltmore Estate while we are there, and I have never been yet, so really looking forward to that . . .
SO check back soon for more updates and photos!
