~ A Birth, A Death, and a New Puppy

Last night, Gary and I went to see our friends’ new adorable baby girl. The past couple of years we have been going to friends weddings . . . and now as a few years have passed, we are starting the baby showers and birth’s part of our lives. We have been following friends with a personal blog of their twins and it doesn’t take them long to grow up before your eyes!

Some other friends of ours lost their dog a couple of weeks ago not long after they got their new puppy. One day she was ok, fell ill and died that day.

Times like these make you stop and think of the purpose of life and what happens after death. As long as we all do our best to be happy and make others happy – put the important things in life first and life life to the fullest, what more can we ask for?

Gary’s Grandad is going to have surgery for a lump that was found in his lung and you never know what can go wrong. Please pray for Gary’s grandad if you know him or not for a good surgery and a fast healing process. We appreciate the thoughts and prayers.

Love,
~Sue-Leigh

~ Andrew’s PerSonaL LifeStyLe Portrait Session

I had the best time photographing little Andrew yesterday! I was especially attached because he was adopted from Korea, and when I was 2 and a quarter, I made the same long journey from Seoul, Korea to the US.

Andrew was such a cute little bundle of energy, even without his usual afternoon nap. He just turned one not long ago and very good at walking most of the time. You can tell how much his family loves and adores him!

~ Blog Posting Coming Soon

Wow! August has evidently snuck upon me, and I just noticed that I haven’t blogged since, well July. So here is my first post for August, saying that I will be posting . . . for August, but not now . . . soon!

I’m in Greensboro right now, after waking up at 5:00am + snooze = 5:10am and an almost 2 hour drive – and tomorrow I have to get up at 3:00am (even worse) + wake-up call for 3:15am, but I should be up before then.

A few stories to post, photos to share, and Monster energy drinks (mine! all mine! I won’t share!) of the Loca Mocah Variety *in hopes I can find some* . . . wink! 😉

well, drop me an e-mail if I haven’t heard from you in a while, or leave a comment 🙂

Cheers!

~ Autumn and Josh : Leading Up To . . .

This weekend I had a super fun engagement session with Autumn and Josh and the weather was awesome. Josh’s side of the family has history at UNC, so we started at the Old Carolina Well . . .

Autumn’s side of the family has history at NC State, so we then went to the Bell Tower to get some shots there . . .

I just Love the feeling of this photo . . .

We had a little fun outside of this night club . . .

and then we ended the session where they met, at the Edenton Street Church, and where their fabulous wedding will be in a few months!

Isn’t she going to be a gorgeous bride!?

Check out their session highlights slideshow!

~ Where is my Lucky Number 6 Number?

We had Chinese food for dinner tonight . . . I opened up my fortune cookie and got an odd and pretty much untrue fact about myself – but what I thought was funny was that my fortune was missing a 6th number in the lotto number 6 numbers and everyone else had 6:

~ In the Mountains

We’re in the mountains for the weekend with Gary’s parents! So far we’ve had a relaxing day of doing not much 🙂

Gary worked on a puzzle yesterday and is on his second one today.

I’ll be doing some shooting today, so check back later!
