Syncing Google Contact Birthdays with Your Google Calendar

Silly me, I thought birthday dates entered into Google contacts automatically updated to ‘My Calendar’ but I noticed some of the new birthday dates I had entered were not showing up.  SO, I did a search and found out how to add them, and really glad I did 🙂  It beats entering in dates manually and changing the re-occurrence time.

SO, go into your Google calendar

  1. Settings > Calendar Settings
  2. Go to the Calendars tab
  3. under ‘Other Calendars’ select ‘Browse interesting calendars’
  4. select ‘more’ tab
  5. preview or subscribe to ‘Contacts’ birthdays and events’

check out your calendar!  It’s pretty awesome – I love that little cake slices show up next to the person’s name for their birthday date!  Now they just need to add some wedding rings or something cute next to Anniversary dates 🙂

~ Garden Statues!

This afternoon, after meeting some friends for brunch, I swung by J&C Garden World near the Farmer’s Market.  One of those places I’ve always driven past and always wanted to go into, so I did today.

I didn’t know the name of the place til I did a google search and found a blog with a write-up and photos, so check it out if you plan on going out there.  They have other interesting articles about places in the area.

The prices are very reasonable, I bought an adorable calf statue, and a mini mushroom I might paint at some point 🙂

~ Mudcats Game & Fireworks!

Tonight we went with my parents to see the Mudcats game, and they won 3-1 against the Jacksonville Suns!  Really good game, and on top of it all, we got to see the 4th of July fireworks celebration plus it was their 20th anniversary.  Weather has been awesome the past couple of days, and tonight was another perfect example.

Check out a game, the tickets are affordable at $12.50/ticket 🙂

~ It’s Summer!

wheee! so it’s summer and a lot of super awesome stuff is keeping us busy!  Birthday’s, hanging out with friends, vacations, beach trips, etc . . .

But anyway, for now . . .

I took this photo at the home depot today when I was looking at the gardening section.  The butterflies and the bees were enjoying dinner!

* Babies!

Last night we had dinner with some friends of ours who own and raise a variety of water fowl . . . and its baby season!

Lots of eggs in boxes and little ones running about.

Every time we go over, there is usually a group of atleast ten or so babies in one of the bathtubs.

I held the little yellow fluff 🙂
