Tonight (which was really last night by now) we had our friends the Wards over for dinner.
I made a salad for the first course, the carrot soup from this post (check out my comment if you’d like to know how it turned out). A lemon basil chicken, fresh green beans, yellow squash and an apple cobbler for dessert.
We hadn’t seen them around Christmas so we exhanged gifts a little late. We gave them a martini shaker that looked like a penguin since they love birds, and then out these cute martini glasses they got us! (from Swoozies).
It was kind of funny how we got each other similar gifts. Aren’t they adorable? I love the top hat stir sticks.
