We made it to the Santa Monica Pier in the evening last night.  It was friggen cold so we didn’t see much aside from the fair like rides and a few carts on the boardwalk. 

Parking was about $7 and not really worth it since it was so unbarably cold annd not much else to do. 

I think it would have been more fun if the weather was better/warmer and if there was an event going on, and it looks like a nice place to have a meal with the restaurants there with the view of the ocean . . .
