At the Lake

20110730-052752.jpg Today Gary and I went to my parents house in the morning, and then to his bosses lake house for a company get together. We rode on his boat a couple of times while two of the guys were pulled behind in a large tube/float.

Pyro’s Vet Visit

20110727-090110.jpg Last weekend we noticed Pyro’s right eye was closed most of the time and had a bit of fluid coming from it.

Monday morning I dropped her off at the vet and they found that she had a small scratch on her eye (likely from playing with flick, we assume).

So she was prescribed a gel like antibiotic that we have to put in her eye 3x a day for 2 weeks. She must be getting better because she doesn’t want to sit still at all anymore, and it’s only been 3 days.

It takes two of us to give her the medicine (one person to hold her, one person to put the medicine in her eye). It will be exciting if one of us has to go out of town O.o

Phase 2

Yesterday we went to the hospital to speak to the dietician and the Chemotherapy teaching nurse.

The dietician told us that my dad needs to eat more protein (110-115 grams) and drink more fluids (32-64oz)

The financial counselor went over billing, which was great and very informative.

The chemo nurse told us what signs to look for when my dad is doing the chemotherapy treatments. How to handle the medicine, where to store it, what symptoms they should be aware of, etc.

When he starts, he will have 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off with a doctor visit, then 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off with a doctor visit, etc.

Beads and Baubles

20110724-012644.jpgThis morning I went to a Korean Culture Camp event, and this afternoon Adrienne and I went to a bead show and got a few items to make some necklaces.

20110724-012653.jpgWe had dinner at her house with her parents, sister, and sister’s boyfriend . . . check out this huge tomato.

After dinner, I made the necklace style in the bottom left with the colours in the bottom right photo in pinks and grays.
