Yesterday we saw some of our friends who are expecting next month – it was nice seeing them before we don’t see them for a while.

And today I wore some earrings my mom got me a week or so ago from an art shop. These are hand painted Russian earrings and I got a compliment on them today too. Thanks Mom ^^

Today Gary and I went to our friends’ baby’s 1 year old party  . . . it’s amazing how fast little ones grow.

Another set of friends were also having their child’s one year old party, but we had some errands and things we had to do today instead, but there would have been lots of cake to be had, I’m sure.

Later in the evening, we went to another set of friends’ house to have dinner which consisted of a crab boil, which I think was my first.

It was a really nice day seeing our various friends . . . ^^

Today I took my dad to get his follow up visit with the doctor to get blood – his lab work looked good, and for the doctor to see how he was tolerating his chemo medication.

Gary and I had taken the rest of the day off to hang out afterwards. Most of the things I wanted to do ended at 3pm, so we wouldn’t have had time to get there today, but we were able to find something to do.

We decided to take a train ride to a neighbouring town for a 20 minute train ride, dinner for a couple of hours, an then a 20 minute train ride back – mostly for the train ride experience.

What was supposed to be a simple itinerary turned out to be a 2.5 hour late train back home, but the weather was nice and dinner was yummy. Apparently the train has to go slower when there is a flash flood warning, which was in the first part of their route.

This is the first Korean Drama that I have watched, and I liked it … I watched all 25 episodes in 3 days 🙂

The main character reminded me a bit of Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, and there is of course a love triangle.  I thought it was a cute romantic comedy ^^

Today I went to a bead group and learned how to weave a Russian Spiral. I might make a bracelet, but I need to learn how to tighten the weave, but the pink and peach colours are really pretty together.  The colours are off in the photo:

Busy day today, family photo shoot, lunch, then errands.

One of them was going to the market and I had Strawberry Milk and a Frozen Red Bean Cake with Mocchi which was delish!

My dad began his chemotherapy today – pill form and he will be taking it daily for 4 weeks with 2 weeks off and a doctor visit.
