A friend of mine gave me a tupperware of Kalbi to make, so I made it for dinner when I got home last night ^^
My cousin sent us a package and I picked it up today!
A book in Korean to read, a cute little nail clipper that looks like a bear, a box of black pearl facial masks, and a little note.
So sweet! ❤
Gary went to see the Colts play, and he sent me a photo from the game.
They lost, but he had a good time.
I have been practicing a choreographed Korean Dance based on traditional Korean dance moves by my Korean Dance teacher. I started learning 3 months ago, and yesterday was our first performance
there was a second dance (that I was not in), but my sd card ran out so we only got part of it:
Last week Gus got some sap or something on his leg, which made his hair get all matted.
I trimmed what I could but the sap was so close to his skin that it caused some irritation and soreness so I took him to the vet so they could take care of it.
They shaved the area and gave me some pills, some spray, and found out he had an ear infection too so got some cleaner and medicine.
Poor guy has to wear the cone on his head til the leg heals up, so hopefully by the end of this week we can take it off.
The other night we used up the last of the garden tomatoes from Gary’s parents . . . definitely love fresh ^^

Chuseok is Korean Thanksgiving basically for the end of a harvest and to pay respect to ancestors. It’s starts a different day each year because it follows the lunar calendar and lasts for 3 days – this year it is September 12th.
In school we learned about the tea ceremony, making rice cakes, a traditional food layout, how to do proper big bows, and Korean games (제기자기).
Gary and I took my parents to a football (축구) game because they have never been to one.
We went to the Duke vs Stanford Game and they lost 14 – 44 but it was fun and we had a good time . . .
especially after the sun finally went behind some clouds!
Tonight a few girls and I made Mandu (만두), Duk Guk (떡국), and a variation of Tteokbokki (떡볶이).
mmmm ^^
