D.C. Sites

Yesterday we walked around DC, the weather was so perfect.

Two Teas I Tried . . .

이 차 맛있어요

I really like the instant date tea I had gotten from the Korean market, so I bought two more to try.

이 차들 맛없어요

A plum tea and a chrysanthemum tea.

They were both too strong for me. The plum smelled very pine tree sappy and didn’t taste like plum to me, an the chrysanthemum tasted like it was leaves straight of the plant.

I think I was expecting a lighter flavour more like green tea.

iBunny iPhone iCase ^^

20111017-225151.jpg

I found this adorable iPhone case online for under $5! It arrived today and I think it’s soo cute! The bunny tail stand is a suction cup (sticks when wet) on the phone through a round hole on the back of the silicone case and so far holds well.

20111017-230702.jpgI don’t know if I will keep the tail on all the time, or the case all the time since it likely isn’t the most practical for throwing in all my purses. I will have to use a purse with an outside pocket I think, so the ears don’t bend or break but I am definitely going to use it a lot . . . and make sure the cats don’t get a hold of it ^_^

Fair

20111017-223844.jpgOn Saturday, Gary and I went to the State Fair this past weekend with a couple friends after school.

We walked around for about 5/6 hours.  Played games, watched demonstrations, ate fair food, saw the animals.

I won myself a a mouse that sings a tune by popping 3 balloons with 3 darts. 🙂

Sunday, we went to a friends house to make a few batches of pierogies from scratch; potato and cheese, sauerkraut, and mushroom and onion.  We also watched football and played with her kitty 🙂

It was a fun weekend.

City Hunter

게리와 나는 시티헌터를 봤어요.

Gary and I finished watching a Korean show ‘City Hunter’.
The first 2 episodes were a bit slow because they were setting the plot but the rest of the episodes were good even though we got to see episodes back to back and had to watch some of the flash backs a few times back to back. We watched about 4 episodes a night and just finished last night. ^^

Pumpkin Patch

Today we met some friends at a farm for cotton picking, a hay ride, corn maze, saw some goats, and got to pick out pumpkins.

The farm wasn’t all that amazing but it was nice hanging out with our friends 🙂

And it was nice getting pumpkins for carving later.

New Flower Boxes

저는 어제 꽃을 심었어요.

Yesterday I got some flower boxes (from Home Depot) for our front porch and planted some pretty flowers (petunia, pansy, and dianthus). I also planted flower pots with chrysanthemums for either side of the front door.

It brightens up the house and I love to see the flowers grow and bloom.
